Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Start the Brussels Sprouts

    Spray provided tray with cooking spray.

    In prepared tray, combine Brussels sprouts, 1 tsp. olive oil, lemon n herb seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Massage oil and seasonings into Brussels sprouts. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 12 minutes.

    While Brussels sprouts bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Salmon

    Pat salmon dry and season flesh side with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add salmon, skin side up, to hot pan. Sear until golden brown on one side, 2-4 minutes.

    Salmon will finish cooking in a later step.

    Remove from burner.

    After 12 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven.

    Push Brussels sprouts to one side of tray. Evenly top with bacon and half the honey (reserve remaining for garnish). Tray will be hot! Use a utensil!

    Transfer salmon, seared side up, to now-empty side of tray.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until Brussels sprouts are tender and salmon reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 6-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    To serve, top salmon with softened butter and garnish Brussels sprouts with remaining honey (to taste). Bon appétit!
