Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Prepare the Carrots

    Place carrots in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until beginning to soften, 3-5 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    In one provided tray, combine carrots, garlic salt, a pinch of pepper, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Carrots will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Prepare the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry and season both sides with poultry seasoning.

    Place chicken in second provided tray.

    Bake Meal and Heat Potatoes

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until carrots are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While meal bakes, add mashed potatoes, cream cheese, and a pinch of salt to a microwave-safe bowl. Vigorously stir to combine. Cream cheese will melt as potatoes heat. Microwave until cream cheese melts and potatoes are heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Vigorously stir to combine.

    Carefully remove trays from oven. Stir honey and lemon juice into carrots until coated.

    To serve, top chicken evenly with butter. Bon appétit!
