Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

Start the Sausage
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.
Place sausage in one provided tray and break into smaller pieces.Bake uncovered in hot oven until sausage begins to brown, 10 minutes.Sausage will finish cooking in a later step.While sausage bakes, continue recipe. -
Make the Sauce
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream base, cream cheese, garlic salt, and 1/4 cup water. Cover with a damp paper towel. Cream cheese will melt as sauce heats.
Microwave covered until hot, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and stir until smooth. -
Bake the Meal
After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Transfer half the sausage to second provided tray. Sausage will be hot! Use a utensil.
Evenly divide pasta, marinara, kale, and sauce mixture between both trays. Stir until coated. Evenly top both trays with panko. Cover trays with foil.Bake both trays covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-20 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.To serve, top pasta with cheese.
