Before You Cook
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Cook the Pasta
Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 10-12 minutes.
Reserve ¼ cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander, rinsing with cold water, then set aside. Reserve pot; no need to wipe clean.
While pasta cooks, prepare ingredients.
Prepare the Ingredients
Trim and thinly slice green onions.
Coarsely crush crackers.
Pat chicken breasts dry and, on a separate cutting board, cut into 1" dice. In a mixing bowl, combine diced chicken, 3 Tbsp. flour( not included in your box) (reserve remaining for sauce), and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cook the Chicken
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 5 tsp. olive oil.
Add chicken to hot pan. Stir often until chicken browns and reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Remove from burner.
Start the Mac and Cheese
Return pot used to cook pasta to medium heat. Add butter and 1 Tbsp. flour(not included in your box) to hot pot.
Stir often until a light brown paste forms, 3-5 minutes.
Add ¾ cup milk(not included in your box) and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir often until combined and thickened, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner.
Finish Mac and Cheese and Finish Dish
Stir cheese, ¼ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper into pot with sauce until combined. Then stir in pasta until coated. If too thick, add reserved pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
Plate as pictured on front of card, topping mac and cheese with chicken and garnishing with green onions, Buffalo sauce (to taste), and crushed crackers. Bon appétit!
