Cooking Guidelines

1 Prepare The Ingredients
Peel apple, quarter, and remove core. Cut into ½" dice. Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips. "Place flatbreads directly on oven rack and bake in hot oven until lightly browned, 6-8 minutes. "

2 Caramelize The Onions
" Place 2 tsp. olive oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Add onion to hot pan and stir occasionally until browned, 10-13 minutes. If pan becomes dry, add water 1 Tbsp. at a time. Remove from heat and add 1 Tbsp. water and brown sugar and stir to combine. While onions cook, prepare the prosciutto.

3 Cook The Prosciutto
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil and prosciutto to pan. Cook until crisped, 4-6 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Break into small pieces. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.

4 Cook The Apples and Assemble The Flatbreads
In the same pan over medium high heat, add 1 tsp olive oil and apples. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly tender, 4-5 minutes. Assemble with onions, cheese, prosciutto, apples and figs. Bake in hot oven until flatbread edges are brown and crispy, 6-8 minutes.
