Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    prep

    juice lime

    slice shallot into 1/8th inch rounds

    combine to make pickle

    cut potatoes into 1/2 inch fries

    cooking the fries

    toss fries with 2 t olive oil and seasoning blend

    place on tray and bake in oven 400 degrees for 14-16 minutes

    making the burger

    while fries cook combine pork with 1/4 t salt and a pinch of pepper

    form into 4 patties

    place cheese in center of 2 patties and top with other

    pressing edges to seal

    heat large non stick over medium high heat add 2 t olive oil

    sear 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown

    finish in oven on tray with fries

    searing pineapple and toast bun

    once the burger is in the oven, using the same pan sear the pineapple on both sides 1 to 2 minutes per side

    toast the bun for 2-3 minutes in the oven
