Surf and Turf, with a bit more. Our turf here is topped with a layer of nutty delicious Parmesan, a top a layer of feisty mustard. Our Surf? Succulent shrimp coated with jalapeño jelly and sweet tomato paste and, well, bacon. Fresh asparagus and potatoes tossed in herbaceous rosemary round out a meal that's Turf, that's Surf, and that's for sure outstanding.

  1. 1

    Start Potatoes and Prepare Ingredietns

    Halve potatoes lengthwise.

Place potatoes on first prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.

Spread into a single layer. Roast in hot oven, 8 minutes.

While potatoes cook, trim woody ends off asparagus.

In a mixing bowl, combine asparagus, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Massage oil, salt, and pepper into asparagus.

    Stem and mince rosemary.

  2. 2

    Finish the Vegetables

Carefully remove from oven. Push potatoes to one side and add asparagus to empty space. Spread potatoes and asparagus into single layers on their side. Baking sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Roast vegetables in hot oven until tender, 10-12 minutes.

Carefully remove tray from oven. Toss roasted potatoes with garlic pepper and rosemary. Turn on broiler.

While vegetables roast, prepare and cook proteins

  3. 3

    Prepare Proteins and Sear Steaks

    Pat shrimp dry.

Pat steaks dry and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 tsp. olive oil and steak to hot pan. Sear until browned, 1-2 minutes per side. Steak will finish cooking in a later step.

Transfer steak to second prepared baking sheet. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.

  4. 4

    Cook the Shrimp

Return pan used to cook steak to medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add shrimp and bacon to hot pan and cook until browned, 2-3 minutes.

Flip shrimp, and add jalapeño jelly, tomato paste, and a pinch of salt. Stir constantly until shrimp are coated and reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

  5. 5

    Finish Steak and Finish Dish

Top steaks evenly with mustard, then cheese.

Place under hot broiler and broil until cheese is golden and steak reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 3-4 minutes.

Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on the broiler as cheese may burn easily.

Carefully remove from broiler. Rest, 3 minutes.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
