Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Cut mushrooms into ¼" slices. Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate. Separate steak strips into a single layer and pat dry, cut into 1" pieces. tear cheese into 1" pieces.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add steak strips, peppers and mushrooms to hot pan and stir occasionally until no pink remains and veg has begun to soften, 4-6 minutes. add ¼ cup of water and beef demi. bring to a simmer and reduce until liquid is almost gone.

    Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30 seconds.

    Combine cream cheese, 3 Tbsp of water and a pinch of salt in small sauce pot. bring to a simmer and stir until creamy 1 minute. remove from heat and stir in provolone cheese. Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling tortillas with steak peppers, cheese sauce, and topping with green onions and chili flake (to taste). Bon appétit!
