You Will Need
Large Non-Stick Pan
Before You Cook
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Prepare the Ingredients
Halve French roll lengthwise.
Form the Meatballs
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, egg(not included in your box), panko, 2 tsp. soy sauce(not included in your box), and a pinch of pepper.
Form mixture into ten evenly-sized meatballs, about the size of ping-pong balls.
Transfer meatballs to prepared baking sheet and roast in hot oven, 12 minutes.
Cook Pasta and Bake Garlic Bread
Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 8-10 minutes.
Reserve ½ cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in colander and return to pot. Toss with 1 tsp. olive oil and set aside.
While pasta cooks, combine half the garlic (reserve remaining for sauce) and 1 Tbsp. butter(not included in your box) in another mixing bowl. Top cut sides of French roll evenly with garlic-butter, then a pinch of salt.
Carefully remove baking sheet from oven and push meatballs to one side. Baking sheet will be hot! Use a utensil. Place roll halves on baking sheet and bake in hot oven until golden brown, 3-5 minutes.
While bread bakes, make sauce.
Make the Sauce
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add remaining garlic to hot pan and cook until aromatic, 30 seconds.
Add tomatoes, pasta cooking water, and 1 tsp. soy sauce(not included in your box) . Bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce heat to a low simmer and add meatballs. Stir occasionally until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Add pasta and a pinch of salt to hot pan and stir until coated.
Remove from burner.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping with Parmesan. Bon appétit!
