  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Medium Pot
  • 1 Colander
  • 1 Large Non-Stick Pan

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Cook the Pasta

    Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 12-13 minutes.

    Reserve 3/4 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander and set aside.

    While pasta boils, prepare ingredients.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.

    Mince garlic.

    If using Italian sausage, remove from casing on a separate cutting board.

    Cook the Turkey and Mushrooms

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add ground turkey to hot pan and break up with a spoon until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.

    If using Italian sausage, cook, breaking into small pieces with a spoon, until no pink remains, 4-6 minutes.

    Add mushrooms, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.

    Add reserved pasta cooking water and chicken base and cook until mushrooms are tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Make the Sauce

    Add cream and pasta and bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir often until slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.

    Stir in cheese, peas, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper until peas are warmed through, 1 minute.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with crispy onions. Bon appétit!
