Customize It Instructions
-
If using antibiotic free chicken, follow same instructions.
-
If using sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

1 Cook the Zucchini
Trim zucchini ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2” half-moons.
Place a large oven-safe pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add zucchini, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned and tender, 6-8 minutes.Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the butter. Stir in butter (to taste) until melted and combined, 20-30 seconds.Remove from burner and evenly top with cheese. Transfer to hot broiler and and broil until cheese is golden brown, 3-4 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as cheese may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from broiler. Handle will be hot! Use an oven mitt. -
2 Cook the Chicken
Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with garlic pepper and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for mashed potatoes).
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add chicken to hot pan. Cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes per side.Remove from burner. Transfer chicken to a plate and cover with foil. Wipe pan clean and reserve. While chicken cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Heat Mashed Potatoes and Prepare Basil
Place mashed potatoes, remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Vigorously stir to combine.
Microwave until heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and vigorously stir to combine. While mashed potatoes microwave, stem basil, stack leaves, roll into a long cylinder, and slice lengthwise to create very thin strips. -
4 Heat Sauce and Finish Dish
Return pan used to cook chicken to medium-low heat.
Add cream base and pesto to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and heated through, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with sauce. Slice chicken, if desired. Garnish with basil. Bon appétit!
