Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatloaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Form the Meatloaves

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground beef, mayonnaise, half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for green beans), 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Mix thoroughly until combined. Form meat mixture into four equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

    Place meatloaves in one provided tray and evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Prepare Potatoes and Bake Meal

    Place mashed potatoes, garlic and parsley seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper in second provided tray. Vigorously stir to combine.

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until potatoes are heated through and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Vigorously stir softened butter into potatoes until melted and combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While meal bakes, continue recipe.

    Microwave Green Beans, Mix Sauce, and Finish Meal

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine green beans, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and remaining garlic salt. Cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until green beans are bright green and fork-tender, 5-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    While green beans microwave, in another mixing bowl, combine preserves, ketchup, and mustard (to taste). Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the sauce.

    To serve, top meatloaves with sauce. Slice meatloaves, if desired. Bon appétit!
