Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

1 Cook the Steaks
Pat steaks dry and season both sides with garlic pepper.
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add steaks to hot pan and cook until steaks reach desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well.Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.While steaks cook, continue recipe. -
2 Cook the Carrots
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add 1/4 cup water and carrots to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, cover and stir occasionally until water is almost completely evaporated, 3-5 minutes.Uncover and stir often until carrots are tender, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While carrots cook, continue recipe. -
3 Heat the Mashed Potatoes
Place mashed potatoes, cream cheese, minced garlic and parsley, and 1/4 tsp. salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Vigorously stir to combine and cover with a damp paper towel.
Microwave covered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Stir vigorously to combine.While mashed potatoes microwave, continue recipe. -
4 Make Blue Cheese Butter and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and blue cheese (to taste).
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping steak with blue cheese butter (to taste). Garnish carrots with balsamic glaze (to taste). Bon appétit!
