Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 3-4 minutes per side.

  1. 1

    Start the Vegetables

    Quarter potatoes.

Place potatoes on one prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, potato spice seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into an even layer.

Roast in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While potatoes roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

Prepare Ingredients and Make Green Onion Butter

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

Zest and halve lemon. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.

Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, green portions of green onions, a pinch of salt, and 1/4 tsp. lemon zest. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Finish the Vegetables

In another mixing bowl, combine broccoli, white portions of green onions, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Massage oil and seasonings into broccoli. Set aside. Have a little sous chef around? With supervision, have them help massage/season the broccoli.

After 15 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven. Stir potatoes and push to one side of sheet, spreading into an even layer on their side. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Place broccoli mixture on empty side of sheet and spread into an even layer on their side. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Roast in hot oven until vegetables are browned and fork-tender, 10-12 minutes.

Carefully remove from oven. Stir half the cheese (reserve remaining for puff pastry) and 1 tsp. lemon juice into broccoli. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While vegetables roast, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pastry Twists

Remove puff pastry from refrigerator and remove any paper.

Cut each one lengthwise into four evenly-sized pieces. You should have eight pieces total.

Lightly dampen or brush one side evenly with water, then evenly top with remaining cheese, pressing gently to adhere. Holding both ends, gently twist each pastry strip twice.

Immediately place on second prepared baking sheet, pressing ends down gently to keep in place.

Bake in hot oven until pastry is golden-brown, 10-12 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

While pastry twists bake, continue recipe.

  5. 5

    Cook Steaks and Finish Dish

Pat steaks dry. Season both sides with steak seasoning and a pinch of salt.

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add steaks to hot pan and cook until steaks reach desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well.

Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping steak with green onion butter. Slice steak if desired. Squeeze lemon wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
