Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

    Cook the Orzo

    Once water is boiling, add orzo and cook until al dente, 4-5 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Drain orzo in a colander/strainer and set aside. Wipe pot clean and reserve.

    While orzo cooks, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Coarsely chop spinach.

    Trim and halve yellow squash lengthwise. Cut into 1/4” half-moons.

    Pat shrimp dry.

    Cook the Yellow Squash

    Return pot used to cook orzo to medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add yellow squash and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pot. Stir occasionally until slightly browned and tender, 4-5 minutes.

    Add the Shrimp and Spinach

    Add 2 tsp. olive oil, shrimp, spinach, buttermilk-dill seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pot. Stir occasionally until spinach is wilted and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 3-5 minutes.

    Add Orzo and Sauce and Finish Dish

    Add orzo, cream base, creme fraiche, cream cheese, 1/4 tsp. salt, and pesto to hot pot. Stir occasionally until combined and orzo is heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
