Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

1 Prepare Ingredients and Make Chimichurri Crema
Place potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until tender, 6-8 minutes.
While potatoes microwave, remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/4" dice.In a mixing bowl, combine creme fraiche and chimichurri (to taste). Set aside. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the chimichurri.Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces.Carefully remove potatoes from microwave. Using the flat side of an object, press down gently to smash each potato until 1/2'' thick. -
2 Cook the Steak Strip Mixture
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add bell peppers, steak strips, garlic salt, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until peppers are tender and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 6-8 minutes.Add 1/4 cup water and vegetable base. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, evenly top with cheese and cover until melted, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.While steak strip mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Cook the Potatoes
Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add potatoes and potato spice seasoning to hot pan. Stir occasionally until browned, 2-3 minutes per side.Remove from burner. -
4 Toast Buns and Finish Dish
Place buns, cut-sides down, under hot broiler.
Toast until slightly browned, 2-3 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as buns may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with steak strip mixture, arugula, chimichurri crema (to taste), then top bun. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the chimichurri crema. Bon appétit!
