  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

  1. 1

    Start the Chili

Evenly divide ground beef between both provided trays and break into bite-sized pieces. Spread into an even layer and top each tray with 1 tsp. olive oilI.

Bake uncovered in hot oven, 12 minutes.

Beef will finish cooking in a later step.

    While beef bakes, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Top the Chili

Drain and rinse beans in a colander/strainer.

In a mixing bowl, combine corn muffin mix, corn, and 1/2 cup water. Stir until a thick batter forms, like a pancake batter. If too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

After 12 minutes, carefully remove trays from oven and drain any excess liquid. Evenly divide tomatoes, beef base, beans, taco seasoning, 2/3 cup water, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/2 tsp. pepper between trays. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer.

Evenly top each tray with 5-7 dollops of cornbread batter, then cheese. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil/caution.

  3. 3

    Finish Chili and Finish Meal

Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until cornbread topping is golden-brown and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

To serve, top chili with sour cream. Bon appétit!
