Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |

1 Start the Beans
Drain beans.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add butter (to taste), beans, and taco seasoning to hot pan. Stir occasionally until butter is melted and beans are heated through, 2-3 minutes. -
2 Add the Rice
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging. Add rice, salsa (to taste), and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan.
Stir often until heated through, 1-2 minutes. -
3 Add Cheese and Finish Dish
Stir half the cheese into hot pan until combined. Top mixture with remaining cheese and cover.
Remove from burner. Set aside until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with sour cream. Bon appétit!
