Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground beef, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

If using ground turkey, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

1 Air Fry the Potatoes
If using an air fryer, combine potatoes, garlic salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, Italian seasoning, and 1 Tbsp. olive oil in basket. Spread into an even layer and gently spray with cooking spray. Air fry at 400 degrees until potatoes are golden-brown and tender, 18-22 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
Alternatively, place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Add potatoes, garlic salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and Italian seasoning to hot pan. Cook until golden-brown and tender, 12-14 minutes.Carefully remove basket from air fryer. Stir in Parmesan until combined. Basket will be hot! Use a utensil.While potatoes cook, continue recipe. -
2 Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.
After 1 minute, add ricotta, pesto, and sausage. Stir until thoroughly combined.Form sausage mixture into 8 equally-sized patties, about 3" across. -
3 Cook the Patties
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Working in batches if needed, add patties to hot pan. Cook until browned and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 3-5 minutes per side.Evenly top patties with marinara, then mozzarella.Add 1 Tbsp. water, cover, and cook until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner.While patties cook, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Buns and Finish Dish
Heat buns to your preference using a toaster or microwave.
Alternatively, place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add buns, cut-side down, to hot pan. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom buns with patty, then top buns. Garnish potatoes with dressing. Bon appétit!
