Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Start the Chicken and Leeks
Spray provided trays with cooking spray.
Pat chicken dry and season all over with 1/2 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper.Evenly divide chicken and leeks between both prepared trays. Evenly top both trays with 1 tsp. olive oil.Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.Chicken will finish cooking in a later step.Carefully remove trays from oven and drain any excess liquid. Trays will be hot! Use caution. -
2 Add the Pasta and Spinach
Coarsely tear spinach. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the spinach.
Evenly divide spinach, cream base, tomato sauce, bacon, peas, 1/2 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and pasta between both trays. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer.Cover trays with foil. -
3 Finish the Meal
Bake both trays again covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven. Evenly divide softened butter (to taste) between both trays and stir until combined. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the butter. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.To serve, top pasta with cheese. Bon appétit!
