Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Add chicken to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Peel, trim, and cut carrot into 1/4" slices on an angle. If carrot is larger than 1" in diameter, halve before slicing.
Quarter mushrooms.Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with savory seasoning. -
2 Start the Chicken
Place a large oven-safe non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add chicken to hot pan. Sear until slightly browned, 2-4 minutes on one side.Transfer chicken to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean.Chicken will finish cooking in a later step. -
3 Start the Vegetables
Add 2 tsp. olive oil, carrots, and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Stir often until slightly browned, 4-6 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 3-4 minutes.Uncover and add 2 tsp. olive oil, mushrooms, garlic pepper, and a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally until vegetables are browned and tender, 4-6 minutes. -
4 Finish the Chicken and Vegetables
Add tomatoes, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, add chicken, seared-side up. Remove from burner and cover pan with foil. Pan will be hot! Use caution.Transfer pan to hot oven and bake covered until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 8-10 minutes.Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Carefully remove from oven. Pan handle will be hot! Use an oven mitt. Carefully remove foil. Foil will be hot! Use caution.While chicken mixture bakes, continue recipe. -
5 Heat Mashed Potatoes and Finish Dish
Place mashed potatoes, a pinch of salt, and cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl. Vigorously stir to combine.
Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Vigorously stir to combine.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with vegetables and sauce from pan. Bon appétit!
