1 Prepare the Ingredients
Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.
Evenly spread panko on a plate.Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Evenly spread bacon on towel-lined plate and microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes. While bacon crisps, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Chicken
Pat chicken dry.
Cover chicken with plastic wrap and use a heavy object to pound to an even 1/8" thickness. Gallon bags make clean up easier and are made of thicker plastic. If you don’t have a disposable bag, use plastic wrap.Remove plastic wrap. Season both sides with steak seasoning and 1/4 tsp. salt.Place chicken onto plate with panko, pressing gently to adhere to both sides. -
3 Cook the Chicken and Broccoli
Line another plate with a paper towel.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 3 Tbsp. olive oil. Let oil heat, 3 minutes.Test oil temperature by adding a pinch of panko to it. It should sizzle gently. If it browns immediately, turn heat down and let oil cool. If it doesn't brown, increase heat.Lay chicken away from you in hot oil and flip every 1-2 minutes until golden-brown and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 6-8 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer chicken to towel-lined plate and set aside. While chicken cooks, place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add broccoli, white portions of green onions, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.Uncover and stir occasionally until tender, 2-3 minutes.Transfer to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat. -
4 Add Sauce and Pasta and Finish Dish
Add cream base, shredded cheese, and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan used to cook broccoli. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir occasionally until cheese melts and sauce is smooth, 30-60 seconds.Add pasta, cooked broccoli mixture, 1/2 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir occasionally until sauce coats pasta and pasta is heated through, 3-4 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with crisped bacon, Parmesan, and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
