Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

1 Cook the Ground Pork and Peppers
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add mixed peppers, ground pork, 1/4 tsp. salt, and fajita seasoning to hot pan. Stir occasionally until peppers are tender and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
2 Add the Sauce
Add salsa (to taste), cream base, cream cheese, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and sauce is slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner.While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Toast the Ciabatta
Separate ciabatta halves.
Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.Working in batches, add ciabatta, cut-side down, to hot pan. Toast until slightly browned, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While ciabatta toasts, continue recipe. -
4 Make Crema and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine chipotle crema and sour cream.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, evenly spreading crema mixture on top roll. Top bottom roll with pork mixture (to taste), guacamole (to tatse), tortilla strips, then top roll. Bon appétit!
