Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

1 Cook the Sausage and Poblano Peppers
Place a large pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add Italian sausage and poblano peppers (use less if spice-averse) to hot pan. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the poblano peppers.Break sausage into smaller pieces and stir occasionally until peppers are tender and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
2 Add the Broth
Add flour to hot pot and stir until no dry flour remains.
Add 1 cup water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
3 Add the Cheese and Seasonings
Once simmering, add cream cheese to hot pot. Stir occasionally until melted and combined, 1-2 minutes.
Stir in garlic salt, fiesta seasoning, and 3/4 the shredded cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) until combined, 2-3 minutes. -
4 Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Add pasta and corn to hot pot. Stir occasionally until pasta is heated through and coated, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining shredded cheese and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
