Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

    Turn oven on to 450 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    In one provided tray, add mashed potatoes (no need to drain) and stir vigorously to combine.

    Stir in corn, cream cheese, a pinch of pepper, and ranch seasoning until combined. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes.

    Cover tray with foil.

    Add the Chicken

    In a mixing bowl, combine crispy onions and cheese.

    Pat chicken dry and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. Place chicken in second provided tray. Top chicken with mayonnaise, spreading in an even layer, then crispy onion-cheese mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake both trays (mashed potatoes covered, chicken uncovered) in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While trays bake, line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Spread bacon in an even layer on towel-lined plate and microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove bacon from microwave and trays from oven. Vigorously stir mashed potatoes.

    To serve, top mashed potatoes with crispy bacon. Bon appétit!
