Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, follow same instructions.

    Prepare the Chicken

    Combine panko and half the grated cheese (reserve remaining for pasta) on a plate. Spread into an even layer.

    Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for pasta), Italian seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Evenly spread mayonnaise on one side of chicken. Transfer chicken, mayonnaise-side down, onto plate with panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

    Cook the Chicken

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 4 tsp. olive oil.

    Add chicken, panko-side down, to hot pan. Cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    While chicken cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat the Pasta

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat.

    Add cream base, pesto, 2 Tbsp. water, remaining grated cheese, and remaining garlic salt to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, add pasta and stir often until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While pasta heats, continue recipe.

    Heat Sauce and Finish Dish

    Place marinara in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until heated through, 45-60 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with chicken and garnishing chicken with sauce. Slice chicken, if desired. Garnish dish with shredded cheese. Bon appétit!
