Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, break up in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Start the Beef and Tomatoes
Prick tomatoes all over with a fork. If you receive one whole tomato instead, not to worry; simply core tomato, cut into 1/2" dice, and proceed with recipe instructions.
Add ground beef and tomatoes to provided tray, breaking up beef into bite-sized pieces. Spread into an even layer.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 12 minutes.Beef will finish cooking in a later step.Carefully remove from oven. Drain any excess liquid and break up beef mixture. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. -
2 Add the Pasta
Add pasta, cream base, Parmesan, softened butter (to taste), minced garlic and parsley, half the feta (reserve remaining for garnish), 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to tray. Stir to combine. Spread into an even layer.
Cover tray with foil. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.
While meal bakes, stem and tear dill.Carefully remove tray from oven. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and stir to combine.To serve, top pasta with remaining feta and garnish with dill (to taste). Bon appétit!
