Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Cook the Potatoes
Cut potatoes into large evenly-sized chunks. Bring a medium pot with potato chunks covered by water to a boil.
Once boiling, cook until fork-tender, 14-18 minutes.Remove from burner. Drain potatoes in a colander and return to pot.While potatoes cook, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare Garlic and Mash Potatoes
Mince garlic.
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Add butter and garlic to hot pan. Stir occasionally until garlic is golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. Stir in cream base until combined.Add garlic-cream mixture and 1/2 tsp. salt to pot with potatoes. Wipe pan clean and reserve.Mash potatoes until smooth. Cover to keep warm. Set aside. -
3 Make Gravy and Finish Dish
Combine 1/2 cup water, flour, and demi-glace in pan used to cook garlic-cream mixture. Stir or whisk until thoroughly combined and no dry flour remains. Return pan to medium heat. Stir constantly and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir often until slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping mashed potatoes with gravy. Bon appétit!
