Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

  1. 1

Start the Ground Beef and Vegetables

Place ground beef in one provided tray and break up into small pieces. Spread into an even layer.

In second provided tray, combine carrots, slaw mix, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Spread into an even layer.

Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

Beef will finish cooking in a later step.

  2. 2

Finish the Ground Beef and Vegetables

Carefully remove ground beef tray from oven and drain excess grease. Keep vegetables tray in oven.

Stir in 1/4 tsp. salt, minced garlic and chili pepper (use less if spice-averse), half the ginger (remaining is yours to please!), cornstarch, and garlic sesame sauce until combined. Tray will be hot! Use caution.

Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the minced garlic and chili pepper.

Bake both trays again uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender, sauce is slightly thickened, and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

While vegetables and beef bake, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Heat Noodles and Finish Meal

Combine noodles, 1 Tbsp. water, and 1 tsp. olive oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a damp paper towel.

Microwave covered until heated through, 1-2 minutes.

Carefully remove trays from oven and bowl from microwave. Divide vegetables and beef evenly between both trays. Divide noodles evenly between both trays and stir to combine. Trays and noodles will be hot! Use a utensil.

To serve, garnish with sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
