Tacos are terrific, bratwursts are beautiful, but all the handheld glories in the world can't hold a candle to the mighty, meaty, magnificent hamburger, the glory of fast food chains from shining sea to shining sea and around the globe. There's something about the patty, the bun, the toppings… we crave it, you crave it, and now, with our new burger kits, you'll be able to indulge weekly if you so desire. 1. 1

    Roast the Fries

Cut potatoes into ¼" fries and pat dry. Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 4 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.

Spread into a single layer and roast in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing fries halfway through.

Carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Toss fries with garlic pepper. Fries will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While fries roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Cook the Caramelized Onions

Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add onion to hot pan and stir occasionally until browned, 10-12 minutes.

Add sugar and 2 Tbsp. water. Stir often until water has evaporated and onions have caramelized, 2-3 minutes.

If pan is dry, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, as needed.

Remove from burner. Transfer onions to a plate.

    While onions cook, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Make Sauce and Toast Buns

In a mixing bowl, combine crème fraîche, mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Spray cut-sides of buns with cooking spray.

Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add buns, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

Work in batches, if necessary. Remove from burner. Transfer buns to a plate. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.

  4. 4

    Make Burgers and Finish Dish

In another mixing bowl, combine panko, potato spice seasoning, pork, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Form into 4 equally-sized patties, about 5" in diameter.

Return pan used to toast buns to medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add patties to hot pan and cook until lightly charred and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

Work in batches, if necessary. Remove from burner. Add cheese to patties and let melt, 1-2 minutes.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with sauce, patty, caramelized onions, and top bun. Bon appétit!
