Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

1 Prepare Ingredients, Crisp Bacon, and Toast Buns
Quarter apple and remove core. Cut into 1/4" slices.
In a mixing bowl, combine apple, vinegar, and a pinch of pepper. Set aside.Line a plate with a paper towel.Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add bacon to hot, dry pan and stir occasionally until bacon is crispy, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve.Return pan used to crisp bacon to medium heat and add buns, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer to a plate. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean. -
2 Form the Patties
In another mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion salt, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Form mixture into 4 evenly-sized patties, about 5" in diameter.

3 Cook the Patties
Return pan used to toast buns to medium-high heat. Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook until lightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.
Top patties with cheese and let melt.Remove from burner. -
4 Finish the Dish
In another mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and ketchup.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with patty, brown sugar-ketchup, arugula, apples, bacon, and top bun. Bon appétit!
