Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Add the Chicken and Rice

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Spray one provided tray with cooking spray.

    Pat chicken dry. Add chicken to prepared tray and season with 1/4 tsp. salt and chimichurri seasoning.

    In second provided tray, combine rice, minced garlic and lemon basil, buttermilk-dill seasoning, 1 cup water, and 1/4 tsp. salt.

    Start the Chicken and Rice

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until water is absorbed and rice is tender, 10-12 minutes.

    While meal bakes, tear spinach in to smaller pieces.

    After 10-12 minutes, remove rice tray from oven. Stir tomatoes and spinach into rice. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Cover tray with foil.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake trays (rice covered, chicken uncovered) until spinach wilts and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 8-10 minutes.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    To serve, top chicken with tzatziki and crispy onions and garnish rice with feta. Bon appétit!
