Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

If using ground beef, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

If using ground pork, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 25-30 minutes.

1 Start the Peppers
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.
In one provided tray, combine peppers, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.While peppers bake, continue recipe. -
2 Add the Meatballs and Rice
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, za'atar seasoning, 1/2 tsp. salt, half the chimichurri seasoning (reserve remaining for rice), a pinch of pepper, and panko. Form mixture into 20 equally-sized meatballs. Place meatballs in second provided tray.
After 15 minutes, carefully remove peppers from oven. Add rice, 4 Tbsp. water, remaining chimichurri seasoning, onion salt, and chicken base to tray with peppers. Stir to combine. Tray will be hot! Use caution. Cover tightly with foil. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake both trays (meatballs uncovered, rice covered) in hot oven until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
Carefully remove trays from oven. Uncover and stir rice.To serve, top rice with meatballs and garnish with tzatziki. Bon appétit!
