Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine sweet potatoes and 1 Tbsp. water. Cover with a damp paper towel.
Microwave covered until slightly tender, 6-8 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. -
2 Cook the Vegetables
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and garlic salt to hot pan. Stir often until vegetables are slightly browned and tender, 8-10 minutes.Remove from burner. Stir in softened plain butter, smoked maple seasoning, and a pinch of salt until combined.While vegetables cook, continue recipe. -
3 Cook the Chicken
Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with poultry seasoning and 1/2 tsp. salt.
Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add chicken to hot pan. Cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 3-5 minutes per side.Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Remove from burner.While chicken cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Rice and Finish Dish
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging. Place rice in another microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Stir in softened garlic & herb butter and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined. Fluff rice with a fork.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with chicken and garnishing chicken with mustard (to taste) and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
