Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using 20 oz. steak strips, follow same instructions as 10 oz., working in batches if necessary. You may have leftover filling.

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

1 Roast the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/4"-thick fries and pat dry.
Place fries, 2 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper on prepared baking sheet. Massage oil and seasonings into fries. Spread into a single layer.Roast in hot oven until browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing once halfway through.Carefully remove from oven. Stir savory seasoning into fries until combined. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.While fries roast, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine horseradish (to taste), mayonnaise, and 1/4 the garlic pepper (reserve remaining for steak strips). Set aside.
Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" slices.Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. -
3 Toast the Buns
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add buns, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until browned, 1-3 minutes.Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat; no need to wipe clean. -
4 Cook the Onions
Add 2 tsp. olive oil and onions to hot pan.
Stir occasionally until tender and slightly browned, 6-8 minutes.If pan is dry, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, as needed. -
5 Add Steak Strips and Finish Dish
Add steak strips, 1/4 tsp. salt, and remaining garlic pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until no pink remains and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Add mushroom base and stir to combine, 1-2 minutes.Evenly top steak strips with cheese. Cover until melted, 2-3 minutes. Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with horseradish aioli (to taste), steak strip mixture, then top bun. Bon appétit!
