Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Prepare the Sausage and Broccoli
Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary, and break into bite-sized pieces.Combine sausage, broccoli, garlic pepper, 1 tsp. olive oil, and red pepper flakes (use less if spice-averse) in one provided tray. -
2 Prepare the Pasta
In second provided tray, combine pasta, cream base, ricotta, garlic salt, lemon juice, and half the Parmesan (reserve remaining for garnish).
Cover tray with foil. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake both trays (Italian sausage and broccoli uncovered, pasta covered) in hot oven until broccoli is tender, pasta is heated through, and Italian sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 25-30 minutes.
Carefully remove both trays from oven.To serve, top pasta with Italian sausage-broccoli mixture. Garnish with remaining Parmesan. Bon appétit!
