Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |

- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Vegetables
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/2" dice.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add bell peppers, mushrooms, garlic salt, and garlic pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes.Remove from burner.While vegetables cook, continue recipe. -
2 Cook the Sausage
Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add Italian sausage to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Remove from burner. -
3 Assemble and Broil the Pizzas
Open rolls and flatten.
Place rolls, cut-side up, on prepared baking sheet. Evenly spread marinara on cut-side of rolls. Evenly top marinara with vegetables, sausage, then mozzarella.Broil under hot broiler until rolls are slightly toasted and cheese is melted, 3-4 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as rolls may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from oven. -
4 Assemble Salad and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine spring mix, dressing, and a pinch of pepper.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping salad with Parmesan. Cut pizza into triangles, if desired. Bon appétit!
