Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Start the Filling
Remove Italian sausage from casing.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.Add 1 tsp. olive oil, Italian sausage, and onion to hot pan. Break meat into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
2 Finish Filling and Assemble Quesadillas
Add marinara and minced garlic and parsley to hot pan. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, remove from burner.Place tortillas on a clean work surface. Divide filling equally between tortillas, placing on one half. Top with mozzarella. Fold tortillas over filling. -
3 Cook the Quesadillas
Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Working in batches, add quesadillas to hot pan. Cook until golden brown, 1-2 minutes per side.Repeat with remaining quesadillas.Replenish oil, if necessary.Remove from burner. -
4 Make Sauce and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine crème fraîche, ricotta, garlic pepper, a pinch of salt, and 1 Tbsp. water. Set aside.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, cutting quesadillas into smaller triangles and serving sauce on the side for dipping. Bon appétit!
