  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Using hands, tear spinach.

Trim zucchini ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2” half-moons.

    Mince garlic.

Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.

  2. 2

    Crisp the Bacon

Line a plate with a paper towel.

Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add bacon to hot pan and stir occasionally until crisp, 2-3 minutes.

Remove from burner. Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve.

  3. 3

    Cook the Sausage and Vegetables

Return pan used to crisp bacon to medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add Italian sausage to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

Add zucchini, peas, and garlic. Stir occasionally until vegetables are lightly browned and tender, 4-5 minutes.

  4. 4

Add Sauce and Pasta and Finish Dish

Add marinara, cream base, spinach, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, stir occasionally, 2 minutes.

Add pasta and stir occasionally until coated and heated through, 4-5 minutes.

    Remove from burner.
