Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

1 Cook the Pasta
Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 10-12 minutes.
Remove from burner. Reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and set aside.While pasta cooks, continue recipe. -
2 Toast Crackers and Prepare Ingredients
Coarsely crush crackers.
Combine crackers, 1/4 the garlic and parsley seasoning (reserve remaining for kale), and 1 tsp. olive oil on a plate. Spread into an even layer. Set aside.Stem kale and finely chop.Zest and halve lemon. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.Pat salmon dry and season flesh side with lemon n herb seasoning. -
3 Cook the Salmon
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add salmon, skin-side up, to hot pan. Sear until golden-brown and salmon reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 3-4 minutes per side.Remove from burner.While salmon cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Cook the Kale
Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add kale, 1 Tbsp. water, remaining garlic and parsley seasoning, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Cover and stir often until kale is tender, 3-5 minutes. -
5 Add Pasta and Sauce and Finish Dish
Uncover; add cream base, 1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking water, cheese, and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, add pasta, 2 tsp. lemon juice, and 1/2 tsp. lemon zest. Stir often until combined and pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.If sauce is too thick, add additional reserved pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with crackers. Squeeze lemon wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
