Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely chop half the pickles (remaining are yours to use as you please!).
Core tomatoes and cut into 1/2" dice.Halve and peel onion. Cut one half into 1/4" dice (remaining half is yours to use as you please!). -
2 Par-Bake the Flatbreads
Place flatbreads directly on oven rack.
Bake in hot oven until slightly browned, 7-9 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.While flatbreads bake, continue recipe. -
3 Cook the Ground Beef Mixture
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add ground beef, savory seasoning, and onions to hot pan. Stir occasionally until onions and ground beef are slightly browned, 3-5 minutes.
Drain any excess liquid from pan, if desired. Pan will be hot! Use caution.Add 1/4 cup water and demi-glace. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, stir occasionally until beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner and stir in a pinch of salt until combined. -
4 Assemble and Bake Flatbreads and Finish Dish
Place flatbreads on a clean, flat work surface. Evenly top with cheese, ground beef mixture, then tomatoes.
Place flatbreads directly on oven rack, with prepared baking sheet on rack below to collect any drips.Bake in hot oven until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping flatbreads with pickles and arugula. Garnish with dressing. Bon appétit!
