Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Carrots
Place a large pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add carrots to hot pot. Stir often until slightly tender, 3-5 minutes. -
2 Add the Ground Pork and Slaw Mix
Add ground pork, ginger, slaw mix, and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for broth) to hot pot. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

3 Add the Broth
In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/2 cup water.
Add 5 cups water, ramen pork base, soy sauce, remaining garlic salt, and cornstarch mixture to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, stir occasionally until soup is slightly thickened, 3-5 minutes. Remove from burner.While soup simmers, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Noodles, Stem Cilantro, and Finish Dish
Place noodles in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.
Microwave covered until heated through, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave.While noodles microwave, stem cilantro and reserve whole leaves.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping noodles with soup. Garnish with wontons and cilantro leaves. Bon appétit!
