Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Core tomatoes and cut into 1/2" dice.

Hold lettuce at root end and chop coarsely.

  2. 2

    Cook the Turkey

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the piri piri seasoning.

Add ground turkey, piri piri seasoning (use less if spice-averse), chimichurri seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 8-10 minutes.

Stir in pesto and 2 Tbsp. water until combined, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While turkey cooks, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Heat the Rice

Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave and stir in lemon n herb seasoning and 1/2 Tbsp. butter until combined. Rest, 2 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork.

    While rice microwaves, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Make the Crema

In a mixing bowl, combine creme fraiche, buttermilk-dill seasoning, and 4 tsp. water. Set aside.

  5. 5

    Assemble Wraps and Finish Dish

Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel. If tortillas come folded, keep folded. Microwave until heated through, 30-60 seconds.

Carefully remove from microwave and transfer to a clean, flat work surface.

Evenly divide crema among tortillas and spread into an even layer.

Evenly divide ground turkey (to taste), rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and dressing among tortillas, placing in center. Fold sides of tortilla toward center, then roll bottom edge towards the top, enclosing sides tightly.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, halving wrap, if desired. Bon appétit!
