Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Chicken 165° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

1 Prepare the Biscuits
Combine biscuit mix, half the bacon (reserve remaining for topping), and 1/2 cup water in a mixing bowl. Stir until a thick and tacky dough forms.
Spoon four even dollops of biscuit dough on prepared baking sheet, leaving 3" of space in between. Top biscuits with remaining bacon. -
2 Bake the Biscuits
Bake in hot oven until biscuits are golden-brown, 12-15 minutes.
While biscuits bake, continue recipe. -
3 Make Cheese Sauce and Finish Dish
Place a small pot over medium heat. Add crème fraîche and 1 Tbsp. water to hot pot. Stir often until crème fraîche is melted and combined, 1-2 minutes.
Add cheese, mustard, garlic pepper, and a pinch of salt. Stir until combined and smooth, 2-3 minutes.If too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, serving cheese sauce on the side for dipping.
