Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Zest lime, halve, and juice.
Drain oranges and coarsely chop. -
2 Cook the Pork
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil, ground pork, chile and cumin rub, and 1/2 tsp. salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Remove from burner.While pork cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Heat the Rice
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl with 2 Tbsp. water, pesto (to taste), and 1/4 tsp. salt. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until warm, 2-3 minutes.
Carefully remove from microwave. Fluff rice with a fork. -
4 Make Slaw, Heat Tortillas, and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, oranges, 1 Tbsp. lime juice, 1/2 tsp. lime zest (add more to taste, if desired), 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.If tortillas come folded, keep folded.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling tortillas with pork mixture, slaw, sour cream, and cheese. Bon appétit!
