Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Vegetables
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add onions, peppers, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes. -
2 Add the Pork and Sauce
Add ground pork, 1/4 tsp. salt, and light chili powder (use less if spice-averse) to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Drain any excess liquid. Pan will be hot! Use caution.Stir in BBQ sauce and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Toast the Rolls
Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add rolls, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until slightly browned, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While rolls toast, continue recipe. -
4 Make Creamed Corn and Finish Dish
Place corn in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.
Microwave covered until corn is heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and drain any excess liquid. Bowl will be hot! Use caution. Stir in softened butter, honey, softened cream cheese, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper until combined.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with pork mixture, then top roll. Bon appétit!
