Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Hold romaine heart at root end and chop coarsely.
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell peppers into 1/4" slices.Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" slices. -
2 Cook the Vegetables
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add bell peppers, onions, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes.If pan becomes dry, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, as needed.Remove from burner. Transfer vegetables to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm. Set aside.Wipe pan clean and keep over medium-high heat. -
3 Cook the Beef
Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Drain any excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined, 30-60 seconds.Remove from burner.While beef cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Make the Guacamole Crema
In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, guacamole, 2 tsp. lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

5 Warm Tortillas and Finish Dish
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.
If tortillas come folded, keep folded.Carefully remove from microwave.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling tortillas with beef, vegetables, romaine, guacamole crema, and cheese. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
