  • 1 Large Oven-Safe Non-Stick Pan
  • 1 Microwave-Safe Bowl

Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes. 

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Halve lime. Cut halves into wedges.

    Drain beans.

    Cut tortillas into 1/2" dice.

    Cook the Beef Mixture

    Place a large oven-safe non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add ground beef and 3/4 the taco seasoning (reserve remaining for rice) to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Add corn, beans, and tomatoes. Stir occasionally until mixture begins to simmer, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Broil the Skillet

    Spread beef mixture in pan into an even layer.

    Evenly top with tortillas, then cheese.

    Broil under hot broiler until cheese is melted and tortillas begin to crisp, 5-7 minutes.

    Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as cheese and tortillas may burn easily under broiler.

    Heat the Rice

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Add remaining taco seasoning and 1/4 tsp. salt and fluff rice with a fork.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with beef mixture. Garnish with sour cream and squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
