Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Coarsely crush peanuts in shipping bag.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Pat diced chicken dry and season all over with Asian, garlic, ginger, and chile seasoning.

    Start the Broccoli Rice

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp olive oil.

    Add broccoli, a pinch of salt, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until broccoli is beginning to soften but is still firm, 2-3 minutes.

    Reduce heat to medium.

    Finish the Broccoli Rice

    Add rice, garlic salt, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and 13/4 cups water to hot pan. Bring to a simmer,

    Once simmering, cover and cook until rice is tender and water is absorbed, 5-7 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Transfer broccoli rice to a mixing bowl and tent with foil. Wipe pan clean and reserve.

    Cook the Chicken

    Return pan used to cook broccoli rice to medium heat.

    Add 1 Tbsp. olive oil, white portions of green onions, and chicken to hot pan. Stir occasionally until golden-brown and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Add Sauce and Finish Dish

    Add orange ginger sesame sauce and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, stir occasionally until chicken is coated, 3-4 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with sauce, green portions of green onions, and peanuts. Bon appétit!
