Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Coarsely crush crispy tomatoes in shipping bag.

    Trim zucchini ends and cut into 1/4" dice.

    Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/4" dice.

    Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" dice.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a large oven-safe non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add bell peppers, onions, zucchini, garlic and parsley seasoning, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Add the Sauce and Pasta

    Add tortellini, marinara, garlic salt, and 1 cup water to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, reduce heat to low, cover, and cook until pasta is al dente, 3-4 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in butter (to taste) until melted and combined. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip the butter.

    Broil the Pasta

    Top pasta with cheese in an even layer.

    Transfer to hot broiler and broil until cheese is melted and golden-brown, 4-6 minutes.

    Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as cheese may burn easily under broiler.

    Carefully remove from oven. Pan. handle will be hot! Use an oven mitt.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with crispy tomatoes. Bon appétit!
